Aino Elina creates atmospheric pop infused with Finnish folk tradition. Based in Edinburgh since 2012, she sings in Finnish and English, merging northern roots with an urban edge. Her live sets centre on luminous vocals, minimal electronic textures, live synth, and improvisation.

Nordic Folk ‑infused Ethereal Popwoven withEthno Tones | Electronic Beats | Luminous MelodiesAino Elina creates ethereal pop infused with Finnish folk tradition. Based in Edinburgh since 2012, she sings in both Finnish and English, crafting unique Lapland‑tinged soundscapes with an urban pulse. Her live sets are vocal‑led, with minimal electronic textures and touches of live synth, offering a quirky blend of luminous vocals, electronic beats, and live improvisation.Her 2025 debut long play Kite / Thinning Ice received national airplay in both Scotland and Finland, including support from BBC Introducing, the Upload Show, and the Afternoon Show, where she was highlighted as Single of the Week. Her music has appeared on Spotify editorial playlists and continues to be championed by Amazing Radio and indie music press.Aino Elina has performed across Edinburgh and beyond — from a headline show at Sneaky Pete’s to international showcases at Kansai Music Conference (Japan) and IMX (China), and festival appearances at Kelburn Garden Party, Eden Festival, Vogrie Pogrie, Art Goes Kapakka, and more. In 2025 she joined the Scottish International Storytelling Festival with a performance rooted in Nordic folk.
